Terms and Conditions for FIMMAC 2026

By registering for FIMMAC 2026 ("Event"), whether as a physical or virtual participant, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). The Event is organised by the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (“FIMM” or “the Organiser”) and is managed by Magnet Group Sdn. Bhd. ("Event Coordinator").

1. Registration

1.1 Participants may register for the Event as individuals or via group/bulk registration, for either physical or virtual attendance.

1.2 Individual Registration

  1. Registration and payment must be completed through the official registration platform latest by Monday, 3 August 2026.
  2. For physical participants, a confirmation email and QR code will be sent by Tuesday, 4 August 2026. The QR code must be presented during event registration.
  3. For virtual participants, a confirmation email containing the Event access link and login details will be sent by Tuesday, 4 August 2026.

1.3 Group/Bulk Registration

  1. Complete registration details for all participants via the Registration form on the microsite, including their email addresses latest by Monday, 3 August 2026.
  2. An invoice will be issued upon submission.
  3. Full payment must be received by the Organiser by Monday, 3 August 2026.
  4. Proof of payment must be emailed to fimmac2026@gmail.com.
  5. Upon confirmation of payment:
    • Physical participants will receive an individual confirmation email and QR code. Participants must present the QR code during registration on event day.
    • Virtual participants will receive an individual access link and login detail.

2. Registration Fees

2.1 All fees are payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).

2.2 Physical Participation

  1. Early bird rate: RM300.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Three Hundred) per person until Tuesday, 14 July 2026.
  2. Normal rate: RM350.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Three Hundred Fifty) per person.
  3. 50% discount for every 4th participant in a group/bulk registration of four (4) participants: RM175.00 (Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred and Seventy-Five).
  4. This fee includes:
    • Admission to FIMMAC 2026
    • Exhibition access
    • Regulatory Industry Briefing (RIB) (for approved participants only)
    • Two (2) coffee breaks
    • One (1) lunch

2.3 Virtual Participation

  1. Early bird rate: RM80.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Eighty) per person until Tuesday, 14 July 2026.
  2. Normal rate: RM100.00 (Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred) per person.
  3. 50% discount for every 4th participant in a group/bulk registration of four (4) participants: RM50.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Fifty)
  4. This fee includes:
    • Access to virtual FIMMAC 2026
    • Virtual exhibition
    • One (1) login per registered participant

2.4 Participation is confirmed upon receipt of full payment.

3. Access, Security and Use Restrictions

3.1 Physical Participation

  1. QR codes are strictly non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exchangeable and may not be substituted, shared, resold or otherwise dealt with by any person, whether for consideration or otherwise.
  2. Any unauthorised transfer, assignment, substitution, resale is prohibited.
  3. FIMM reserves the right to refuse, deny or revoke entry to, or remove from the Event, any registered participant or any other person found or reasonably suspected to have breached paragraphs (a) or (b), without refund, compensation or any other form of reimbursement.

3.2 Virtual Participation

  1. Virtual access link/login are strictly non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exchangeable and may not be substituted, shared, resold or otherwise dealt with by any person, whether for consideration or otherwise.
  2. Participants must not:
    • Share, distribute, or resell login credentials;
    • Record, broadcast, or reproduce any session without prior written consent; or
    • Permit unauthorised third-party access.
  3. FIMM reserves the right to suspend or terminate access without refund for any breach of these Terms.

4. Regulatory Industry Briefing (RIB)

  1. Participation in the RIB Session is optional and available only to authorised representatives or officers attending the Event physically.
  2. Registrations are subject to:
    • Verification and approval by FIMM; and
    • Seat availability.
  3. Only successful applicants will be notified accordingly.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

  1. Registrations fees are non-refundable once payment has been received.
  2. Request to transfer registration to another participant from the same organisation may be considered, subject to FIMM’s prior written approval.
  3. Transfer requests must be submitted via email to fimmac2026@gmail.com no later than Monday, 3 August 2026.
  4. FIMM reserves the right to deny entry to any participant where payment has not been received in full.

6. Event Changes

FIMM reserves the right to amend the Event details, including but not limited to, the venue, event date, programme agenda. speakers or schedule, or to cancel the Event, if necessary, including due to circumstances beyond its control. Participants will be notified of any material changes.

7. Code of Conduct

  1. Participants are expected to maintain a respectful, professional, courteous conduct and inclusive environment throughout the Event.
  2. FIMM maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate, disruptive, abusive, offensive, discriminatory, harassing or unlawful conduct and reserves the right to refuse, deny or revoke entry and participation, without refund, compensation or any other form of reimbursement.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 All material, presentations, recordings, and content remain the intellectual property of FIMM or the respective speakers.

8.2 No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without FIMM’s prior written consent.

9. Photography and Recording

The Event Coordinator may take photographs, videos, or recordings during the Event for promotional purposes. By participating, you consent to the use of your image in photographs, videos and promotional materials relating to FIMMAC 2026.

10. Liability

  1. Participation in the Event is at your own risk.
  2. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FIMM and the Event Coordinator shall not be liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, claim, liability, cost or expense of whatsoever nature arising from participating in the Event, except where such loss, damage or injury is directly caused by their fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Force Majeure

FIMM and the Event Coordinator shall not be held liable for any delay, cancellation, or modification of the Event arising from circumstances beyond its control.

12. Personal Data and Consent

By registering for FIMMAC 2026, your consent to the collection, use, processing and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and FIMM’s Privacy Notice, which is accessible via the following link https://www.fimm.com.my/privacy-notice/.

Senthil Gunasekaran

Mr. Senthil Gunasekaran brings an illustrious work experience of over 20 years in the fields of Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and Investment Advisory. He has successfully managed diverse client bases, including Corporates, UHNW Individuals, Trusts, Institutions, and Global Asset Managers. Mr. Senthil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and an MBA in Finance. Additionally, he is a CFA and CAIA charter  holder.

As the Chief Business Development Officer, India & Global Business at KFin Technologies Limited (KFintech), Mr. Senthil leads the Global Business Development for global fund administration, platform, product and services for Asset and Wealth Management, Pension, Insurance. He plays a pivotal role in strategizing go to market strategies, driv- ing companies’ growth and product innovation. In his current role, Mr. Senthil has successfully collaborated with top-tier clients to forge commercial opportunities across geographies.

Before joining KFintech, Mr. Senthil served as the Head of Institutional Sales, specializing in BFSI, ETFs, and Retirement Product Solutions at HDFC Asset Management Company Limited. In this role, he led the Institutional Desk, providing expert advice to large bank treasuries, insurance companies, pension funds, and global institutions.

During the onset of his career, he was associated with Lotus AMC Private Limited (a joint venture between Temasek and Sabre Capital) and Sundaram Asset Management   Company Limited. In these roles, he successfully led Sales, Business Development, Client Relationship Management, and overall Business Development efforts.

Fong Wei Ziet

Ziet is a financial educator who simplifies personal finance, investments, wealth-building, and economics for Malaysians. He’s passionate about making financial literacy practical, relatable, and accessible. His YouTube channel “Ziet Invests” has over 260K subscribers and has garnered more than 20 million views, establishing him as a leading voice in Malaysian financial literacy.

He was previously a senior analyst (commercial) at YTL Power International Berhad with experience in research analysis, financial modeling, M&As, and has helped develop Ryt Bank (a BNM-licensed digital bank) Ziet is currently partners with trusted financial brands, including Moomoo Malaysia, Webull, Wise, Ryt Bank, Versa, etc.

Balqais Yusoff

Balqais Yusoff is currently heading the Policy and Strategy Department of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). She is passionate in driving positive changes to social protection landscape in Malaysia. Prior to joining EPF, she led the Corporate Planning outfit of a public listed supply chain organization. She holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Durham University, United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics from University of Wisconsin, United States of America. Balqais has more than 20 years of experience spanning various industries such as banking, supply chain, public services and consultancy.

Dr Richard Albert Gontusan

Dr. Richard Albert Gontusan is a seasoned Human Resource Skills Training and Investment Consultant with over 30 years of experience in banking, finance, and investment. He began his career in banking, advancing from Branch Manager to Department Head before joining a public-listed investment company, where he served as Regional Marketing Manager for East Malaysia for 18 years. Since 2018, he has focused on consultancy and training, sharing practical insights drawn from decades of leadership and client engagement.

He holds a BSc in Management, BA and MA in Economics from Southern Illinois University, USA, and a PhD in Business Management from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Over the years, he has conducted training for organisations such as Petronas, POIC Sabah, Sabah Energy Corporation, Institute for Development Studies Sabah, Sutera Harbour Resort, Suria Capital Holdings, Sabah Credit Corporation, Sabah Parks, various other GLCs and government agencies.

Dr. Richard is also a Columnist with The Borneo Post, writing on economics, leadership, and social issues. A long-time member of Toastmasters International, he has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Award twice and previously served as District Governor for District 87, covering Indonesia, East Malaysia and Brunei. Through his work, he continues to promote leadership, learning, effective communication and financial management.

Nor Zahrul Hayzraai Zainal

Zahrul is a chartered and certified accountant with over 24 years of experience in capital market supervision, regulatory oversight, financial crime investigations, auditing, accounting, and compliance. He currently serves as the General Manager of Institution Supervision at the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), where he leads the supervision of approved institutions, self-regulatory organization and Registered Market Operators under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.

Since joining the SC in 2011, Zahrul has held several key roles across different divisions, including the Audit Oversight Board, Corporate Surveillance, and Investigation departments, which provided him with broad exposure to audit regulation, corporate governance monitoring, and enforcement.

He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

Financial Markets Ombudsman Service (FMOS)

FMOS, a company limited by guarantee (CLG), was established on 1 January 2025 following the consolidation of the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) and the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC).

An independent body appointed and approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), FMOS operates pursuant to the Financial Ombudsman Scheme and the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA) to handle financial and capital market-related monetary disputes between financial consumers or investors and FMOS members.

FMOS serves as an alternative to the judicial system by providing independent, impartial resolution through mediation and adjudication, ensuring disputes are resolved in a fair and transparent manner. Its dispute resolution services are free for financial consumers and investors, with a claim limit of RM250,000.

As a one-stop centre for financial dispute resolution, FMOS plays a pivotal role in ensuring that financial consumers and investors have an accessible avenue for redress without going to court.  

Beyond dispute resolution, FMOS also provides valuable feedback to its members and regulators on emerging issues and trends, contributing to continuous improvement across the financial and capital markets.

In doing so, FMOS strengthens consumer confidence and reinforces the integrity of financial and capital market service providers. Ultimately, these efforts support a more robust, accountable, and trusted financial ecosystem in Malaysia.

Phillip Mutual Berhad

Dr. Tan Chong Koay

Dr. Tan Chong Koay (Dr. Tan) is the Founder of Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Malaysia and Pheim Asset Management (Asia) Pte Ltd, Singapore since January, 1994 and January, 1995 respectively; it was after helping others to build their businesses for 18 years.

Datin Yon See Ting

See Ting is a partner of Christopher & Lee Ong, a member of Rajah & Tann Asia. She has more than 30 years of experience as a corporate and competition lawyer in Malaysia, in advisory as well as in transactional work. Her practice areas include Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Commercial and Competition Law.

Legal 500 has recognised her in the Hall of Fame, in both Corporate M&A as well as Competition & Antitrust. She is also recognised in Chambers & Partners for both Corporate/M&A and Competition and Antitrust, named in Euromoney’s Women in Business Law Expert Guides for Corporate/M&A and Who’s Who Legal South East Asia 2024 for Competition and ranked in IFLR 1000 as a highly regarded Capital Markets equity lawyer.

She is a non-practising Barrister from Lincoln’s Inn, United Kingdom and an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. She also holds a Masters of Art in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.

Desmond Chong

With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Desmond’s work spans unit trust advisory, financial planning, adviser development, and investor education.

Having worked closely with clients and consultants through different market cycles, he has seen how investor behaviour, such as panic selling, trend chasing, and timing mistakes, can often affect long-term financial outcomes more than product selection alone.

At FIMMAC 2026, Desmond brings a practitioner’s perspective on how consultants can become stronger behavioural guides, helping investors stay disciplined, informed, and focused on long-term financial decisions.

Dr. Rosliza Mat Yatim

Dr. Rosliza is the General Manager of Regulatory Services Division at FIMM. She oversees the registration, supervision, rules making and enforcement matters related to distributors and consultants involved in the marketing and distribution of unit trust and private retirement schemes.

As a senior management team, she contributes towards the formulation and implementation of FIMM’s strategic initiatives and business plans to develop and grow the investment management industry. Prior to joining FIMM, she served at the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) for more than a decade – supervising various market intermediaries and institutions, such as stockbroking & futures, corporate advisory, exchange and SRO, before she took up the roles in licensing and enforcement functions.

Dr. Rosliza holds a PhD, MBA, and a degree in Business Administration. She is a member of ACCA (UK), CFP from FPAM, and a Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO). She is also an accredited trainer by the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) under Malaysia’s Ministry of Human Resource.

Chung Yee Wah

Chung Yee Wah joined Public Mutual in 2023 as its Chief Investment Officer. He holds an honours degree in Business Administration from the National University of Malaysia. Mr. Chung has more than 30 years of experience in the fund management industry and has held various senior positions during this period.

Chung’s prior experience includes serving as the Chief Investment Officer of a bank-owned Islamic asset management company, the Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic arm of a global asset management company, as well as a fund manager managing domestic and regional funds in various companies – including for one of the largest sovereign funds globally.

Ray E. Farris

Ray Farris is the Chief Economist at Prudential and Eastspring, based in Singapore.

As Chief Economist, Ray conducts research and provides macroeconomic views for Prudential. At Eastspring, he also provides in-depth macroeconomic data, trends and insights to guide investment and asset allocation decisions.

Ray’s career spans over 30 years, leading research in economics, markets and policy across three continents. He spent 22 years at Credit Suisse in various leadership roles, most recently as Global Chief Economist and Chief Investment Officer for the Americas based in New York. From 2001 to 2022, he was predominantly based in Singapore with Credit Suisse, in various positions including Chief Investment Officer for South Asia, and Head of Asia Economics and Fixed Income Strategy. Ray started his career in Hong Kong in 1991 as Head of Economics and Equity Strategy at Crosby Securities.

Ray holds a Master of Science in Finance from London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina.

Taufiq Iskandar

Taufiq Iskandar is an executive with two decades of expertise spanning investment, business strategy, research and public policy.

He launched his career in 2007 as an investment analyst and fund manager at Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), later joining Malaysia’s Retirement Fund Inc. (KWAP) in 2011. At KWAP, he climbed the ranks into pivotal leadership roles, including Director of Research, Director of Equity, and CEO positions at Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited and VCAP Asset Managers. In 2021, he became CEO of Penjana Kapital under Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance, followed by a tenure as Managing Director at MBSB’s investment banking arm.

Currently, Taufiq serves as the CEO of Private Pension Administrator Malaysia (PPA).

He read Law for his undergraduate and Management as a postgraduate, both at the London School of Economics (LSE). He also went to the University of Westminster for a postgraduate in Investment & Risk Finance.

Kaleon Leong

Kaleon Leong is the Chief Executive Officer of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) effective 1 October 2018. He comes with over 20 years of experience in various senior management roles in the Malaysian investment management industry, specializing in the fields of unit trust and asset management, regulations and auditing.

Prior to his appointment at FIMM, Kaleon was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of HSBC (Malaysia) Trustee Berhad. He had also served at the Securities Commission Malaysia, AmInvestment Services Bhd, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In addition to the above, Kaleon has participated as a speaker and resource person on Fund Management in events organized by the Asian Development Bank, Securities Industry Development Corporation, etc. He is also a Board Member of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA).

Kaleon is a Chartered Accountant (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia, as well as a Masters Degree in Information Technology Management from University Tun Abdul Razak.

Muzzaffar Othman

Muzzaffar Othman has been appointed as the Group Chief Operations Officer of PNB, effective 1 December 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and brings extensive experience from various industries, including manufacturing, consulting, aviation, insurance, and finance.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of ASNB, as well as the Chief Technology Officer at PNB. Since 2017, he has been a key member of PNB’s Leadership Team. In addition to his corporate roles, he holds board positions at Goodyear Malaysia Berhad, GKN Driveline Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and E-LOCK Corporation Sdn Bhd.

Yap Siok Hoon

Siok Hoon is the Chief Executive Officer of Eastspring Investments Malaysia and an Executive Director of Eastspring Investments Berhad. She brings over 28 years of experience in the asset management and financial services industry, with deep expertise spanning distribution, sales and marketing, product development, and retail and institutional business growth.

Since joining Eastspring in 2013, Siok Hoon has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm's growth strategy in Malaysia – strengthening its distribution franchise, expanding product capabilities, and building a high-performing client-centric organisation. Prior to Eastspring, she held senior leadership roles at Hong Leong Asset Management, where she began her career in 1997 and rose to General Manager, Client Solutions Group.

A passionate advocate for investor empowerment, financial literacy, and the advancement of women in finance, Siok Hoon contributes to industry dialogues on asset management, retirement solutions, and the future of wealth in Asia.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (First Class Honours) from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Datuk Wira Ismitz Matthew De Alwis

Datuk Wira Ismitz Matthew De Alwis is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Kenanga Investors Berhad (“KIB”). He also serves as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors of Kenanga Islamic Investors Berhad, Eq8 Capital Sdn Bhd, Kenanga Trustees Berhad, Kenanga Digital Sdn Bhd and Helicap Pte Ltd as well as all subsidiaries of KIB.

Datuk Wira De Alwis serves as the Chairperson of the Malaysian Association of Asset Managers and is on the board of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Institutional Investors Council Malaysia and a member of Bursa Malaysia’s Market Participants Committee as well as its Securities Market Consultative Panel. He is a participating member of the Joint Committee (Bank Negara Malaysia & Securities Commission) on Climate Change and the Sustainable Investment Platform Steering Committee – Malaysia Sustainable Investment Initiative. He also sits on the SC’s Assessment Review Committee – Fund Management. He is a proponent of the industry’s talent development initiatives as a member of the Capital Market Graduate Programme Steering Committee and the Industry Competency Framework Advisory Panel for the Malaysian Capital Market project undertaken by the SIDC.

Datuk Wira De Alwis has a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence from the SC for fund management, investment advice and financial planning. He is a Certified Financial Planner and Islamic Financial Planner.

Dato Shamsuddin
Mohd Mahayidin

Dato’ Shamsuddin Bin Mohd Mahayidin was appointed to the Board in September 2023. He served at Bank Negara Malaysia for 38 years before retiring in March 2023.

During this time, he was involved in various roles including those relating to the development of the financial market, international financial cooperation, policy formulation and investment operations. He has extensive experience in strategic management of support service operations, organisational governance, risk management relating to operational support services, procurement and sourcing strategy, process improvement, organisational transformation and change management.

Dato’ Shamsuddin was also previously an Adjunct Professor at University Malaysia Kelantan and served on the Advisory Panel for its Master’s Degree Programme in Islamic Finance at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business. He is currently an Independent Director of Ni Hsin Group Berhad, a Director of Taps Management Sdn Bhd and Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (including two of its subsidiaries, PNS ASQ Asia Sdn Bhd and Wonderful Lifestyle Sdn Bhd). He holds Adjunct Professorships at Taylor’s University, DRB-Hicom University of Automotive Malaysia and University Putra Malaysia.

Dato’ Shamsuddin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Management System) from Lakehead University, Canada and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom.

Jas Bir Kaur

Having spent her entire career within the financial services/capital markets industry, Jas Bir brings with her a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the regulatory framework of Malaysia’s capital markets. She has been involved in many areas of industry oversight, including supervision, product development, and the formulation of policies for the industry, particularly in relation to investment management and stockbroking. Jas Bir started her career in 1980 with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), following the completion of her undergraduate studies as a BNM scholar. After six (6) years, she was then seconded to the Ministry of Finance (MOF) for seven (7) years where she was part of the Capital Issues Committee, the body then responsible for the consideration and approval of all funds raising of securities by public companies.

Whilst working for MOF, Jas Bir was also involved with the initiative to establish the Securities Commission (SC), the organisation which is now the regulator of Malaysia’s capital markets. When the SC was established in 1993, Jas Bir continued her career there, rising to the position of Deputy Director. Her responsibilities while working for the SC included overseeing the growth and development of Malaysia’s managed fund industry, including developing and updating industry policies and guidelines. Jas Bir left the SC in 2018 after 25 years of service.

In addition to her experiences with BNM, MOF, and SC, Jas Bir had also worked for Prudential Fund Management (now known as Eastspring Investments Berhad; on secondment from the SC) and for Value Partners Group Limited in Hong Kong. Both experiences broadened her industry expertise to also encompass the asset management point of view. Jas Bir holds a Masters in Finance from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland as well as a Masters in Managerial Psychology from HELP University College, Kuala Lumpur.  She is also a member of Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC) Panel of Mediators.

Mohd Ridzal Mohd Sheriff

Mohd Ridzal Mohd Sheriff is currently the Chairman for Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) since 12 June 2019. He has been a public interest director of FIMM since 27 November 2017. On 13 August 2021, Mohd Ridzal has been appointed the Director General of Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YaPEIM). He is also the Chief Executive Officer at InfinitoDAX (L) Pte. Ltd.

His other previous roles include being the CEO of Infinity Blockchain Ventures, the Deputy Secretary General of the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade & Industry, as well as various roles in Deutsche Bank Malaysia Bhd and Bursa Malaysia. Aside from a distinguished professional career, Mohd Ridzal is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Charity Right Malaysia. Mohd Ridzal holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from University of London and was a licensed stockbroker and financial derivatives trader.
