TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FIMMAC 2024

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern your participation in FIMMAC 2024 (the “Event”), which is organised by FIMM (“the Organiser”) and managed by Light Up 7 Sdn. Bhd. (“the Event Coordinator”). By registering for the Event, whether for physical or virtual participation, you agree to abide by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Participation: Participants may register for the Event either as individuals or in bulk on behalf of a group.

a. Mode of participation

  1. Individual Participation – physical and virtual participation 
  • Payment processed through the registration page will be managed by the Event Coordinator. 
  • For physical participation, upon successful registration and payment, participants will receive a confirmation email and QR code by Tuesday, 10 September 2024. Participants must present their QR code at the time of registration on event day.
  • For virtual participation, upon successful registration and payment, a confirmation email containing the Event link and login details will be sent to the participant by Tuesday, 10 September 2024.
  1. Group (bulk) Registration – physical and virtual participation 

For group (bulk) registration, kindly refer to the following steps:

  • Participants are required to provide all necessary details on the registration page.
  • An invoice will be issued and emailed to the participants following their submission of the required details.
  • Payment shall be remitted to the Organiser no later than Friday, 6 September 2024. 
  • Upon successful registration and payment, participants must email the payment receipt to fimmac2024@lightup7.com.
  • For physical participation, a confirmation email and a QR code will be sent to each participant’s email by Tuesday, 10 September 2024. Participants must present their QR code during registration on event day.
  • For virtual participation, a confirmation email containing the event link and login details will be sent to each participant’s email by Tuesday, 10 September 2024.
  • Participants registering for a total of six (6) individuals will receive the sixth (6th) registration free of charge, with payment required for only five (5) participants. This offer also applies to every subsequent group of six (6) participants.
  • To qualify for the free registration in each group of six (6) participants, all participants in that group must have the same type of participation, i.e., all registrations must be either entirely physical or entirely virtual. 
  • Mixed participation types within a single group (e.g., five (5) virtual and one (1) physical) will not be eligible for the free registration.
  • Examples:
  • If you register six (6) participants for virtual participation, you will pay for only five (5) virtual participants and receive the sixth (6th) virtual registration free of charge.
  • If you register six (6) participants for physical participation, you will pay for only five (5) physical participants and receive the sixth (6th) physical registration free of charge.
  • If you register a mixed group of three (3) virtual participants and three (3) physical participants, you will not be eligible for the free registration.
  • If you register twenty-five (25) participants for virtual or physical participation, you will pay for only twenty-one (21) participants and receive four (4) registrations free of charge.

2. Registration Fee

  1. Payment will be processed in Ringgit Malaysia (RM).
  2. Physical Participation Fee: The fee for attending the physical event is RM160.00 (Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred Sixty) per person. This fee includes admission to FIMMAC 2024 exhibition, as well as two (2) coffee breaks and lunch.
  3. Online Participation Fee: The fee for virtual access is RM55.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Fifty-Five) per one (1) login only. This fee includes admission to virtual FIMMAC 2024 and virtual exhibition.
  4. Participation is confirmed upon receipt of full payment, which shall be completed no later than Friday, 6 September 2024.
  5. Registrations for physical participation are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to the sole discretion of the Organiser.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

All registrations are final, and no refunds will be issued for cancellation by participants once payment has been received. If a paid participant is unable to attend the Event, a request for ticket transfer to another individual from the same organisation may be considered. Such requests must be submitted via email to fimmac2024@lightup7.com by Friday, 6 September 2024.

The Organiser reserves the right to deny entry to any participant, if payment has not been made or if the payment received is less than the specified registration fee.

4. Event Modifications

The Organiser reserves the right to make alterations, including but not limited to, the venue, event date, programme agenda and / or speaker line up, or cancel the event for any reason (including, without limitation, by reason of a Force Majeure event). The Organiser will provide advance notice of any such changes to all relevant parties. 

5. Code of Conduct

All participants must promote a respectful and inclusive environment.

Inappropriate behaviour, including harassment and discrimination, will not be tolerated. The Organiser reserves the right to remove or refuse entry to any participants engaging in such conduct.

6. Photography and Recording

The Event Coordinator may take photographs, videos, or recordings during the Event for promotional purposes.

By participating, you grant permission to the Organiser to use such photographs for promotional purposes. 

7. Liability

Participants acknowledge that attending the physical Event is at their own risk and that they are responsible for their personal belongings.

The Organiser and Event Coordinator shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage, whether arising from virtual and physical participation in the Event.

8. Force Majeure

The Organiser and Event Coordinator shall not be held liable for any delay, cancellation, or modification of the Event resulting from circumstances beyond its control.

9. Consent 

By registering for FIMMAC 2024, you consent to the Organiser’s use of your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the Organiser’s Privacy Notice, which is accessible via the following link https://www.fimm.com.my/privacy-notice/ .  

By registering for the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
