Datuk Kamarudin Hashim

Kamarudin Hashim is currently the Managing Director (MD) of the Securities Commission Malaysia and head of the Market and Corporate Supervision (MCS) business group.
The MD assist the SC Chairman in setting the overall strategic direction for the Malaysian capital market and in overseeing the SC’s dual mandate of capital market regulation and development.
Kamarudin is chair of the Advisory Committee on Sustainable Reporting (ACSR) for Malaysia and jointly chairs the Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3) comprising the banking, insurance, and capital market sectors.
As the Head of MCS, Kamarudin is responsible for the supervision of market institutions and operators, and the surveillance of corporate and secondary market activities. He also oversees the surveillance and development of the fixed income market.
Kamarudin has been with the SC since 1993 and has wide experience in the capital market including derivatives, bonds, fund management, Islamic capital markets, supervision, and risk management. He had previously also served as Secretary to the Commission and Special Assistant to SC Chairman.
Prior to joining the SC, he was with Bank Negara Malaysia after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Law from the University of Kent, United Kingdom.
Mohd Ridzal Sheriff

Mohd Ridzal is the Chairman of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) since June 2019. He was appointed as a public interest director of FIMM in November 2017.
Mohd Ridzal has been involved in the Malaysian Capital Markets for over 30 years. He held senior management roles in Bursa Malaysia and Deutsche Bank Malaysia. He was also Deputy Secretary General of MITI from 2012 to 2015.
Mohd Ridzal also held Board roles in Franklin Templeton Malaysia, SME Corp and various other companies. Mohd Ridzal holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of London and was a licensed stockbroker and financial derivatives trader.
Wahidatul ‘Abdah Aminul Rashid
Deputy Director of Communications and Postal Regulation,
Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC)
10 years experience in ensuring compliance level by the Telecommunications Industry and implementation of current and future policies and regulations as provisions under the Communication and Multimedia Act (CMA98).
Deliverables are through the development and enforcement of mandatory standards and consumer codes, resolution of consumer disputes, and effective rates of monitoring and regulation. This includes the monitoring of compliance by the industry to licensed activities.
Currently Leading on the Telecommunications Fraud issues and Acted/ served as a liaison between stakeholders involved such as PDRM, BNM, Financial Institutions, and any Law Enforcement Agencies involved.
Working closely with regulators from other Jurisdictions such as Australia and Singapore in combating Telecommunications Fraud.

Dr Rosliza Mat Yatim

Dr. Rosliza is the General Manager, Corporate Services of FIMM, and is mainly responsible for the effective functioning of the company’s operations covering finance and procurement, HR, corporate communications, and IT. As a senior management team, she contributes towards the formulation and implementation of FIMM’s strategic initiatives and business plans to develop and grow the unit trusts and private retirement scheme industry. Prior to joining FIMM, she served at the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) for more than a decade – supervising various market intermediaries and institutions, such as stockbroking & futures, corporate advisory, exchange, and SRO, before she took up roles in licensing and enforcement functions.
Dr Rosliza holds a PhD and MBA from Nagoya University, Japan; Business Administration degree from University of Bath, UK; an affiliate member of ACCA (UK); CFP from the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM); and is one of the Certified Integrity Officers (CeIO) of FIMM.
Kaleon Leong Rahan
Chief Executive Officer,

Mr. Kaleon Leong bin Rahan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) effective 1 October 2018. He comes with over 20 years of experience in various senior management roles in the Malaysian investment management industry, specializing in the fields of unit trust and asset management, regulations and auditing.
Prior to his appointment at FIMM, Mr. Kaleon was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of HSBC (Malaysia) Trustee Berhad. He had also served at the Securities Commission Malaysia, AmInvestment Services Bhd, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In addition to the above, Mr. Kaleon has participated as a speaker and resource person on Fund Management in events organized by the Asian Development Bank, Securities Industry Development Corporation, etc. He is also a Board Member of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA).
Mr. Kaleon is a Chartered Accountant (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia, as well as a Masters Degree in Information Technology Management from University Tun Abdul Razak.
Long Shih Rome
Chief Economist,
Public Mutual Bhd
Mr. Long joined Public Mutual Bhd in June 2003. He is the Chief Economist for the company’s economics research team covering the key economies of the U.S., China, and Malaysia. He also presents thematic workshops and regular investment talks for the unit trust agents and corporate clients.
Prior to joining Public Mutual, Mr. Long was the managing editor of an established investment magazine and had written articles on stock market investments, unit trusts and economics. He started his financial career as an equity analyst with more than 10 years of experience covering the Malaysia and Singapore equity markets.
Mr. Long holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree majoring in International Trade & Economic Development from the London School of Economics, London.
Mohamed Belqaizi Taufik

Maybank Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd
Belqaizi was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Director of Maybank Islamic Asset Management on 31 January 2023 and 1 June 2023 respectively.
He joined Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd in June 2018 as the Head, Investment Specialist & Project Management Office, where he was in charge of leading the investment specialist team as well as executing the firm’s projects and strategic initiatives.
He was previously an Associate Director at UBS Investment Bank, Kuala Lumpur where he was part of the Equity Sales & Trading team and managed the firm’s institutional clients.
Belqaizi has over 9 years of experience in the Malaysian financial industry where he started his career as an Institutional Sales Dealer with TA Securities Holdings Berhad and MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in Economics from Western Michigan University. He obtained his Capital Markets and Services Representative’s license for Fund Management from the Securities Commission Malaysia in 2018.
Yasmin Zolkefli

Yasmin Zolkefli is an Associate Director in the Work and Rewards segment of WTW in Malaysia. She is based in Kuala Lumpur and specializes in projects under the Work, Rewards & Career practice.
With over 10 years of experience, she has been extensively involved in end-to-end HR projects in diverse areas such as talent and succession management, leadership and talent assessment, competency development, culture transformation, employee value proposition, job evaluation, HR program maturity assessments, and post-merger integration.
Her experiences range from conglomerates, government-linked companies, and government agencies across a variety of industries including banking and financial services, telecommunication, property, and education sector.
She has had prior experience in being in the corporate world under Group Human Resource in a Government-Linked Company with 3 different Business Divisions. As Assistant Manager, HR Special Projects, she was involved in a broad range of Human Resource areas including Graduate Trainee Program, Performance Management Systems, Workplace Engagement, Leadership Development Audit Exercise, Employer Branding, and HR Reporting.
Yasmin is a certified user of the Saville Wave Assessment and SHL Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ).
Yasmin pursued her studies at the University of Monash. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree (Arts), majoring in Psychology and minored in Communications.
Jerry Lee Chee Yeong
Portfolio Manager,

Jerry is currently the Portfolio Manager of iFAST Malaysia, adeptly overseeing a diverse spectrum of client assets valued at over half a billion. His expertise extends to both conventional portfolios, catering to the mass public, and private mandate portfolios designed for esteemed high net-worth clients.
With a commendable 7-year tenure at iFAST, he has experienced an enriching evolution from a diligent Research Analyst to his current role as a savvy Portfolio Manager. His roots in finance trace back to his formative years as a Treasury Dealer at Affin Hwang Asset Management, where he navigated the realms of foreign exchange and money market instruments.
Jerry is armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Investments with first-class honors from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, he stands firm in his commitment to academic excellence. Notably, Jerry is a CFA Charterholder, further cementing his prowess in the realm of investment management.
Jerry is also a regular contributor to various media. His insights and market perspectives are frequently sought after, and he regularly shares his expertise on prominent media platforms such as 8TV, BFM Caijin, China Press, Sinchew Daily, and others. These engagements underscore his dedication to fostering informed financial decision-making.
Tengku Zarina Tengku Chik

Appointed in 2019, Tengku Zarina is the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), the training and development arm of Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).
She brings with her over 29 years of global financial services experience both in corporate and international finance, taking in different business functions and markets. Having a core competency in corporate credit, she had in the past assumed a wide breath of roles in international banking, corporate banking, business development, banking operations, operational excellence and strategic transformation.
She has served in large financial centres including in the city of London, where she was the Country Head for Maybank operations in the UK from 2005 to 2013, and in Hong Kong where she was Maybank Hong Kong’s Deputy CEO in charge of corporate banking and business development from 2001 to 2005. She had served in Maybank New York and Maybank International Labuan for short term assignments in her early years with Maybank.
Leveraging her diverse experience, she had taken on several strategic transformation roles, including Maybank’s Head of Operational Excellence for Global Banking where she led a significant initiative to streamline the ‘Know Your Customer’ value chain as well as enabling the Financial Institutions Group’s business. She was also appointed as a Supervisory Board member for Uzbek Leasing International in Uzbekistan from 2013 to 2015.
Lee Chung Cheng

Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd
Lee Chung Cheng possesses 21 years of working experience in the capital market and financial institutions. He has had over 13 years’ experience in equity research, covering and overseeing sectors such as Property, Construction, Automotive, Rubber Glove, Consumer, Industrials, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Technology, Logistics, and Plantations apart from Market Outlook & Investment Strategy. He started his career in the banking industry for 7 years specialising in credit analysis upon graduating from his tertiary studies.
Prior to joining Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd, he was the Head of Research for Apex Securities Berhad (formerly known as JF Apex Securities Berhad), leading a research team of 5 analysts. Back then, he was attached to a regional brokerage house, UOB Kay Hian Securities Berhad, performing equity research and servicing institutional investors.
Lee Chung Cheng graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2000 and subsequently obtained his Master in Finance from University of New South Wales, Australia in 2001.
Sahlawati Mustafa
General Manager of Regulatory Services Division,

She has more than 25 years of experience in financial and capital markets, both as an industry participant and a regulator. Her current responsibilities in FIMM include overseeing the registration, supervision, rules making, and complaint management involving distributors and consultants who market and distribute unit trust and private retirement schemes. Prior to joining FIMM, she was the Head of Financial Crime and Compliance, Advisory supporting global and commercial banking businesses in a foreign bank. During her stint as a regulator, she was leading a team in supervising the investment management industry and was also a member of a working group involved in the Joint Mutual Evaluation Exercise by the Financial Action Tasks Force and Asia Pacific Group Money Laundering in 2014.
Sahlawati holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy Studies from the University of Huddersfield. She is a Certified Integrity Officer by the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission.
Datin Azleen Osman Rani

Institute for Capital Market Research Malaysia (ICMR)
Azleen Osman Rani is Director, Institute for Capital Market Research Malaysia (ICMR), an independent think tank affiliate of the Securities Commission, Malaysia which undertakes studies on a broad range of issues affecting Malaysia’s capital market development.
Prior to ICMR, she was heading the research team of a buy-side institution, where her core focus was on equity market strategy and outlook, ESG integration and thematic research.
Her research interest now focuses on various topics which have risen in importance on policymakers’ agenda, including financial inclusion, alternative financing, sustainability and behavioral finance. In addition, as part of ICMR’s mandate to work closer with academia, ICMR has launched a Research Collaboration Network and she also sits on the Industry Advisory Board of Sunway University Business School.
She graduated with a BSc in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol
and a MSc in International Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, UK.
Jawahar Ali Ameer Ali
General Manager,
Secutities Commission Malaysia
Currently attached with the Consumer & Investor Office, Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) as the Head of Department. He has been in the SC in various capacities for the past 23 years. Prior to that, he was an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya for 3 years. Jawahar holds a Bachelor of Laws LL.B. (Hons) from the International Islamic University.
Charles Boon

Charles Boon graduated from Campbell University, North Carolina, USA with a Bachelor of Science (major in Microelectronics). He started his career in the engineering field before venturing into the financial industry. He has over 14 years of advisory experience in local and foreign retail banking and wealth management services.
Charles is a strong believer and practitioner of holistic financial planning with a needs-based approach. By applying his engineering analytical skills, he is able to provide a diverse range of investment strategies and advice, resulting in portfolio management solutions with a global perspective. He holds a Capital Markets Services Representative License in Investment Advice from the Securities Commission Malaysia.
Muzzaffar Othman

Muzzaffar Othman currently serve as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of ASNB. He holds Degree Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)and has served in several organizations before the current position in ASNB. He was in various sector including Manufacturing, Consulting, Aviation, Insurance and latest in Finance. Prior to his present position, he was the Chief Technology Officer in PNB and has been a member of the PNB Leadership Team since 2017. He is a Capital Market Services Representative’s Licence holder. He also sits on the Board of FIMM, Goodyear Malaysia Berhad, GKN Driveline Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Raiz Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Jewel Digital Ventures Sdn Bhd and E-LOCK Corporation Sdn Bhd.
Munirah Khairuddin
Country Head and Chief Executive Officer of Principal Malaysia &
Global Head of Islamic Business, Principal
Munirah joined Principal Malaysia in November 2006 and was later appointed as Deputy CEO in November 2008. Then, Munirah was responsible for the development of institutional, corporate, and international business opportunities and institutional sales. She previously worked as a G7 Economist and strategist for a Fortune 500 multinational oil and gas company. Prior to that, she was a fixed income portfolio manager for emerging markets at Rothschild Asset Management in London.
Munirah was appointed as CEO and Executive Director on 15 May 2013. She has been instrumental in leading the company to grow its Assets Under Management (AUM), deepening its retail leadership with new focus in private retirement space and innovative digital solutions to benefit all Malaysians irrespective of their financial background, and maintaining consistent risk management and investment performance. Under her leadership, Principal Malaysia has embarked on a significant journey in fulfilling its commitment towards the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). In March 2023, Munirah was appointed as the Global Head of Islamic business for Principal Group.
She was also named as the CEO of the Year, Malaysia in the Asia Asset Management’s 2015 Best of the Best Awards for the second year in a row. Munirah was also selected as one of the recipients for the “Top 25 Women of Asset Management” award by Asian Investor in 2014.

Mohd Redza is the Head of PNB Research Institute (PNBRI), which focuses on providing solutions and recommendations for structural and long-term opportunities for the PNB ecosystem and the nation. Prior to his present position, he was the Head of Investment Analysis at PNB.
Mohd Redza started his career as a test engineer in a semiconductor company before switching into the financial services industry. He has served in sell-side and buy-side equities research roles at MIDF Investment Bank, Khazanah Nasional and ValueCAP, and in an equity market regulatory role at Bursa Malaysia.
He graduated with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York and an MBA from Universiti Malaya.

Mr. Tan graduated from Macquarie University, majoring in Actuarial Studies, and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Securities Industries of Australia. He has 45 years’ experience in Risk Management, System development, Asset Management & Derivatives, Unit pricing and Multicurrency Accounting of Financial Institutions.
He was a Consultant in Sydney for 20 years. He setup the risk infrastructure for a dozen investment and development banks in the Years 2000s.
His forte is process and system simplification. He leveraged his extensive cross discipline knowledge to unleash disruptive innovation in Portfolio Management, Fund Accounting, Risk Management and Unit Pricing. The system resolved intractable problems plaguing the industry and has twenty local users.
The system signature is the Digitalization of Fund Accounting and NAV per Unit pricing. This delivers full automation of the process that typically required 30 to 40 skilled accountants in a large institution. This delivers phenomenal cost saving. On top of that, it eliminates many errors that slipped by.

He has more than 22 years of working experience in the corporate sector, specializing in Information Technology, Finance, Program Management, Information Management and Data Analytics. His working experience in IT ranges from IT Management, IT Project Management in Banking & Retail Business Environment, IT Consultancy and System Implementation including 3 years as an IT Head of one of the top-tier Construction Company in the country.
Apart from his IT experience, Edward has also working experience in Finance, specializing in Cost Management of an international bank with strong presence in Asia, Africa & Middle East. His other working experience in financial institutions includes leading the Transformation Office – Project Management Office (PMO) functions of the largest bank in Malaysia and regional secondment to operations in Indonesia. His last role with the organization was leading the Enterprise Information Management Department. Prior assuming his current role, he was Head of Analytics for one of the largest stand-alone Islamic Bank in Malaysia.
In his current capacity as Head of Analytics with Securities Commission Malaysia, his scope of coverage includes Data Governance, Data Warehouse, Operational Analytics and Data Science functions for the regulator.
